You didn't build this to answer your own emails at 11pm.
Somewhere along the way "doing it all" started to feel like proof you cared. It's not. It's just the ceiling you built yourself.

I didn't start out running a business. I started out running someone else's. Since 2018, I've been the right hand behind founders who couldn't afford to drop a single ball — the inbox at midnight, the launch that almost fell apart, the calendar nobody else could keep straight. Executive support in aerospace, fashion, a project coordinator seat at Microsoft — every room taught me the same thing: the founders who scale aren't the ones doing everything. They're the ones who know exactly what to hand off, and to who.
In 2025, I turned that into Ascend Crew with my co-founder Jonathan — so more founders could get what I used to give one person at a time.
In Mexican culture, the day isn't handed to you, it's earned. You sweep first. You tidy, you scrub, you make the whole house smell like a fresh start, before you're even allowed a sip of coffee. It's not a chore, it's a ritual, a little love letter to the day ahead. Growing up in Chihuahua, Mexico, I lived inside that ritual every single morning. Long before I ever heard the word "operations," I already knew exactly what it meant: clear the space, clear the mind, then go build something worth having.

I was born knowing exactly where things go.
Both of my parents were IRS auditors, so forget coloring books, I had green accounting ledgers and a front-row seat to spreadsheets before I could properly spell my own name. By ten years old, my dad opened my very first bank account teaching me to manage my money, my time, and my goals along the way. He gave me a cartoon vision board, so I could actually see where my money was going and set goals for it. And my dad? He played personal stockbroker, save consistently, and he'd double it. Best interest rate I've ever gotten in my life. I didn't choose order. Order chose me.
I was born knowing exactly where things go.A degree in Financial Administration, official proof of something I already knew.
Before I could walk across the stage, I had to finish my internship. They handed me stacks of paperwork with no order to it and nowhere to put it. Nobody asked me to fix that. I did it anyway. That's when I understood: this wasn't a family quirk passed down like a recipe. It was a calling with my name on it. I graduated with a degree in Financial Administration. On paper, it was just a title. In reality, it was permission to keep doing what I'd already been doing my whole life.

150 clients, zero chaos, all glow.
Every month, I kept order for 150 different clients — their documents, their deadlines, their taxes, filed right and on time. The green ledger sheets from my childhood, all grown up.
Turns out precision isn't just for rocket scientists.
This is where I relearned precision, the real kind, where five millimeters off isn't a rounding error, it's a problem. Admin for an industry where nobody gets to wing it. The aerospace world doesn't do sloppy, and after that, neither did I.

Even glitter needs someone holding the clipboard.
An internship in fashion. A world built on image, and someone still had to keep the calendar and hold the chaos together. That someone was me, running errands around Manhattan, making sure the checks from Oscar de la Renta were picked up and deposited on time.
Even a trillion-dollar company still runs on a spreadsheet.
As a project coordinator, I learned the principle holds no matter how big the company is: someone has to direct traffic. Monitoring requests, sorting priorities, clearing the queue, routing the chaos so both end users and internal VPs got what they needed, when they needed it.
